A portfolio, built the long way.

Adventures in Applications is the parent brand for a small set of independent software products built by Kim Sprott, based in Arizona. Each product ships under its own name — SuitYourPartner for the bridge learners, SeaCharted for the Cozumel divers, and so on — but they share a single operator, a single technical spine, and a single thesis:

Pick problems where a single, focused operator can outbuild a whole team, because the interesting work is in getting the details right — not in coordinating around them.

The portfolio is deliberate. Products aren’t added because they’re trendy; they’re added when a real job in a real domain shows up that the shared platform can serve without needing a bigger team. That platform — auth, billing, telemetry, edge functions, deploy pipelines — gets built once and amortized across everything.

Some products are already shipped. Some are in active build. Some are roadmap. All of them are treated the same way: honest about status, honest about who they’re for, honest about what they do.

What ties the portfolio together

  A shared technical platform. Supabase for auth and data; Stripe for billing; Vercel for deploys; PostHog for telemetry; a common set of edge functions. New products plug in instead of starting from scratch.

  A common editorial voice. Sober, specific, honest about what works and what doesn’t. No marketing weasel-words; no fake urgency; no dark patterns.

  A single operator with taste. Every product decision — from feature scope to onboarding copy — passes through the same person. That’s the constraint; it’s also the point.
